Lifeguard and Title 22 Training

Become a certified lifeguard and gain the skills needed to respond to emergencies with confidence! This comprehensive training course provides participants with American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification, including First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and California Title 22 First Aid for Public Safety Personnel.

Title 22 training is required for lifeguards working at public agencies in California and covers advanced first aid topics such as patient assessments, medical emergencies, and spinal injury management. Participants must pass all in-water and written exams to receive certification.

Prerequisites:
- Must be at least 15 years old by the final day of class
- Must complete a swim test, including:
- 300-yard continuous swim using front crawl and breaststroke
- Two-minute tread using only legs
- Timed brick retrieval from deep water

Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive:
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED (valid for 2 years)
- California Title 22 First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (valid for 3 years)
